ABOUT US
Roanoke
Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association (RCFAAA) was founded the
summer of 2008 by the inaugural graduating class of Roanoke Fire
Department's Citizens Fire Academy. RCFAAA is pursuing
incorporation as a Texas Not-For-Profit corporation and section 501(c)(3)
corporation under the Internal Revenue Act of 1946. While the organization is independent of
the City of Roanoke and the
Roanoke Fire Department, RCFAAA
strives to aid and support the Roanoke Fire Department in any way we can.
RCFAAA is currently comprised of graduates of the 2008
Roanoke Citizen Fire Academy. Our
purpose is to provide a citizen's volunteer organization to interact with
the Roanoke Fire Department and
to facilitate between the general public and the Roanoke Fire Department as events
warrant. To that extent, RCFAAA hopes to
participates in many public events including health and safety fairs, fire
safety events and other events that promote fire safety, life safety,
and public awareness about the Roanoke Fire Department.
Membership is open to all graduates of the Roanoke
Citizens Fire Academy or to any person nominated
by the Board of Directors. Roanoke CFAAA
conducts periodic meetings relating to business organization,
upcoming events, improvement strategies, and public involvement.
